Simple invoices for UK sole traders and small companies
Write an itemised invoice on your phone, tablet or computer. We check it has the details a UK invoice needs before you issue it, then give you a tidy PDF.
Who it's for
Sole traders
Self-employed and invoicing in your own name.
Small limited companies
Invoicing as a company registered at Companies House.
Not VAT-registered
It doesn't add VAT, so it's only for businesses that aren't registered for VAT.
UK businesses only
Your business address needs to be in the UK.
What it does
Itemised invoices
List up to six items, each with a quantity and price. Totals are worked out for you in pounds and pence.
UK details checked before you issue
Before an invoice can be issued we check for your legal name, a contact email or phone, a UK postcode, the date of the work, your payment terms and, for limited companies, your Companies House number.
PDF invoices
Each invoice becomes a clean PDF you can save, print or send yourself.
Credit notes
Made a mistake or giving a refund? Issue a credit note against the invoice. The original stays as it was, and you can't credit more than it was for.
Numbers in order
Issued invoices get the next number in sequence and are then locked, so your records stay straight.
Phone, tablet or desktop
Works in your web browser on any of them, and you can add it to your phone's home screen.
See what's overdue
Mark invoices as paid, see what's late, and get a polite reminder ready to copy into your own email. Nothing is sent for you.
What it doesn't do
- It doesn't handle VAT.
- It isn't full accounting software: no bank feeds, expenses or tax returns.
- It doesn't email invoices or take card payments for you.
Be first to try it
It's not open to the public yet. Leave your name and email and we'll tell you when it is. We won't send you anything else.
